Jigs

Jigs consist of a cast hooked lead pendant, usually covered by a soft body to attract fish. jigs are intentionally created with a sharp moving, vertical action. It is versatile and can be used in both fresh and saltwater. Many species of fish are attracted to this lure, which has made it popular among anglers for many years.

Jigs consist of two parts: the head and the body. The most common head is the round head, but there are various other variants such as fish head shaped, tapered, etc. Some of the more popular Jigs are Flipping Jigs, Grass Jigs, and Football Jigs.

Jigs' bodies are most commonly made of rubber or silicone and will come in many shapes that can be like grub, frog, fish, paddle tail, lizard, or different insects, and the bodies can be either brightly colored or muted. They are often designed to mimic local prey fish or large local insects.
